Intervention Plans for Parents and Teens

Stay at Home Plans

There is a wealth of information on the internet and on this site that would be of benefit to both teens and parents alike and to serve as resources of support and education to solve minor issues and problems on behalf of families at home. The problem most of the time is that often one or both parties that make up the family (Teen and Parent(s)) are unwilling or not fully committed to the solutions that may be available online or that may fit the needs of the family for harmony to abound at home. If this is the case, we would like to pursue any alternatives that may be available to solve existing problems to ensure no harm–either physical or emotional–is done to either teen or parent if more adequate treatment is needed.

Residential Plans

As mentioned previously, sometimes it’s necessary to relocate a teenager to a facility outside the normal confines of their own residence because the of the resources that are offered from residential treatment centers and to remove the teen from possible negative influences with friends and/or drugs. A comprehensive assessment of your teen will help us determine if this action is necessary. We can educate parents on the various treatment options that are available to them with regards to schools, programs, academics, level of care a school may offer, a variety is psychiatric treatment options and other emotional and physical care choices. There are hundreds, if not, thousands of facilities to choose from. So it is worth your time to do you due diligence and research to ensure your teen is sent to the appropriate treatment center.

Treatment After Care

Once your son or daughter graduates from one of the residential treatment programs they have attended, there are certain measures that we’ll work out together to provide your teenager the most adequate and appropriate after care for their continued success transitioning back to society and family life. This part of care is almost as important as the residential treatment care because this is where the teen and parents alike will apply what they have learned while receiving instruction and advice from the care facility. As we all have experienced, implementation is far more difficult than education. So we will work with you as parents and provide tools and one-on-one support while you and your teen take this important step as you are reunited as a family once again.
